(5) Updated utility information. (6) Updated estimated construction costs. (Note: This may be provided by Engineer, Construction Manager, General Contractor or Cost Estimator.)

(4) Verify if separate Drawings and/or –Specifications are required for: Tenant Areas Special System (i.e., Security, etc.) (5) Filing of documents with authorities having Jurisdiction. Verify scope (i.e., preparing Submissions or actually filing). d. Bidding and Construction Phase* (1) Review and recommend list of bidders. (2) Pre and Post bid meetings with Contractors. (3) Analyses of Bid and contractors proposed Substitutions prior to
Award of Contract (Where allowed by Specifications). Note: If substitutions affect design, System performance and intent, this should be considered as additional Engineering Services. This would include time for the analyses and Implementation, if the substitution(s) are accepted by client. (4) Review of Shop Drawings and Samples. Note: Engineer will include in Final Specification items required to be submitted for review. If other items are submitted and require review, they will be considered as Additional Engineering Services. (5) Review of Contractor prepared coordination Drawings. (6) Preparation of Change Orders, Other than Owner initiated. (7) Review of Contractors application for Payments for Contract Work and for Authorized Change Orders. (8) Preparation of As-Built Drawings, Or Review of Contractor prepared As-Built Drawings. (9) Field Observation (a) Periodic - fixed number. (b) On Call. (c) Full Time and determines Number of personnel. (10) Attendance at Field Meetings and Establish frequency. (11) Punch Lists and Final Acceptance. (12) Witnessing Factory Tests. *Note: Some Government Agencies Require very specific work to be performed under the various phases of Services (i.e., submissions based on a % of completion). Where applicable, they must govern.

3. Special Services the following Services are not included as Part of Basic Services; and therefore, not included in Basic Fee.
A. programming and special analyses (i. e., space relationship scheduling, etc.). b. Assisting in the preparation of application for Government grants or financing for project. C. Environmental Impact Studies and analyses and assistance in obtaining approval from Authorities having jurisdiction. d. Services related to future facilities. e. Preparing separate Construction Documents for Alternates. Where fee basis is % of Construction Costs, this would be only applicable for work not Constructed. Where project is Lump Sum or Time Card to Upset, all alternates whether constructed or not is a Special service. f. Prepare Change Orders to reflect changes initiated By Owner. Where fee basis is % of Construction Costs, this would be applicable for work not contracted. If work is constructed, the preparation of the Change Order is still a
Special Service and The fee should be adjusted based on % of Construction cost to
Cover other aspects of work (i. e., Coordination, Shop Drawings, field Observations, etc.). Where project is Lump Sum, or Time Card to Upset, preparation of Change Orders whether constructed or not is a special Service. g. Services in connection with evaluating Substitutions proposed by Contractors after Award of contract. h. Making revisions to Drawings and/or Specifications related to the substitutions. i. Providing coordination of work performed by separate contractors. J. providing quantity surveys and detailed Construction Cost Estimates. k. Providing services in connection with the Work of a construction manager or other Consultants retained by Owner. l. Providing services related to the start-up of M/E Systems. m. Preparing to serve or serving as an
Expert witness In connection with any public hearing, arbitration or legal proceeding. n. Preparing Operations and maintenance Manuals. o. Analyzing maintenance and operating costs for Project or portion of project. p. Providing training of personnel for operations And Maintenance. q. Providing consultation services after completion Of Construction phase and final acceptance (Including follow-up field observation, preparing Follow-up punch lists, etc.). r.
